Tones of Home is ran by Kelli and Michael.  Michael is from the north of England and Kelli is from Shannon's home town of Lafayette, Indiana.  We first met each other back in early 1997 on the official Blind Melon Message Board before it was shut down. Michael was planning a trip to the States to go to the '97 vigil and saw a post from Kelli in Lafayette on the board and began writing each other.   We met at the vigil that year and had a mega great time.

Fast forward to March 1999.  We became discouraged with the Blind Melon sites that were on the web at the time. Andrew, who had by far the best Blind Melon site on the web, decided to shut down.  The official page and most others hadn't been updated for what seemed like forever or they were broken links.  We then decided maybe we could make a decent website using the material we had managed to collect over the years and also what was left out there on the web and stuff from our local library.  We decided to call it "Tones of Home" because we thought it was appropriate with Kelli being from Shannon's home town and it being Michael's favorite Melon song.  Since then, the site has grown and grown and many many people have contributed things and loads more sections have been added since that day.  All of the remaining band members other than Glen have visited the site and helped answer questions we've asked, even Heather "Bee Girl" DeLoach has visited.
 

This website is not affiliated with Blind Melon, Glen Graham, Shannon Hoon, Brad Smith, Rogers Stevens, Christopher Thorn, or Capitol Records. This is a fan-based site and should only be viewed as such. This site makes no attempts to be officially affiliated with anyone.

We just recently bought the domain blindmelon.org and plan to keep this site on the Internet forever.  Our mission is to be a good resource for new and old fans to find information about the band and their music but mostly to keep the spirit of Blind Melon alive.  This is an independently run fan site which does not accept deals with third parties.  We have been approached numerous times by companies wishing to pay us to have advertisements on our page or join their network but we have always turned them down. We will never run this site in order to make a profit.

This site is not intended to line the pocket of anyone. To the best of our knowledge, no link on this site directly makes any money for anyone, especially the owners of this site. No link on this site gives anyone any purchasing discounts or other rewards.  No-one is making any money off of this site. It is provided for fans of the band Blind Melon, its members and their related bands or projects.

We do not guarantee all the information on this site is correct.  A lot of information found was pulled from magazine articles and other sources and could possibly be exaggerated.  If you know of any incorrect information, please email us to let us know.  As for the pictures/articles presented on the site, we do not have permission from all the owners to put them online. You may only use and download these files if you agree that Tones of Home does not own the legal rights to most of them. We have tried to credit the authors/photographers when known.  If any of your work is presented against your will, please let us know and we will immediately either credit your work or remove it.
